Winter is coming back this weekend

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Yea, I am setting out to the high desert in the Joshua Tree NP vicinity this weekend. No rain but gusts in the 30MPH range, and day time high on Sunday of 62 makes this more like early March weather, than the gentle breezes and low to mid 90s, typically encountered in early May.

I actually brought the snowblower out of retirement to do part of my driveway....

I considered using the snowblower, then decided it was too much hassle to get it ready. So I shoveled the driveway and a path to my shop, and will let the expected warming weather do the rest.
