Southern Emigrant 7/6-7/8
I'll try to get a TR up in a few days but this info is only useful now.
Hit Rosasco/Big/Cole /Leighton /Karls/Wood/Gem/Piute/Camp Lakes.
0-1 everywhere with the exception being wooded valleys. those were consistently in the 3-4 range. In fact, the only times I deeted up was going through the old burn area about half a mile from the Crabtree trail head, and between Karls Wood lakes. All the lakes were full of Damsel and Dragon flies, so the skeets were almost non existent. They came out at Rosasco about 8:30 pm and I just hit the sack early so not to have to deet up right before bed.
I made sure that I camped in open areas where the breeze would help keep them at bay in fact I stayed at Leighton instead of Karls because Karls seemed to be more forested.

Twin Lakes Sequoia NP July 2-4
A solid 2. Permithrin and Picaridin Kept them away. Seemed like my wife had a headnet on the whole time. She can't stand anything buzzing around her face.

Wore clothes treated with permethrin, and my head net. Head net was a savior.

7/9 Gallats Lake in Kern-Kaweah
Definitely a 5. Hordes of 'skeets at Gallats Lake, and they were vicious.

On the Ansel Adams side it would be a good 2.5
Yosemite side, camped at lake 10005, a solid 3 into a 4 at dusk. DEET? It didn't seem to matter to them too much haha

Hoover Wilderness / Green Lake 7/8-7/10
Hoover Wilderness July 8- 10
Green Creek trailhead to Green Lake was a 4
Green Lake to East Lake was a 3 but never had to deet up again because the wind came up and was a constant 10 - 40 mph the entire weekend. Went up to Hoover Lakes to 10k and did not see any mosquitoes because we had trouble standing straight up with the high winds. Pretty sure we had some gusts above 50mph at East Lake last night but still considered it a better alternative than dealing with mosquitoes.

Duck Pass loop, Deer Creek, Mammoth Pass July 8-9-10
Lake Mary 3
on the way up to Duck Pass 2
Deer Creek 2
Mammoth Pass heading up from Crater Meadow 2
I sprayed my clothes and hat. Wore long sleeve shirt and pants. Did not put on any repellent but still got bit a few times on exposed areas.
We had a good breeze most of the weekend which helped to keep them down

Latest Tuolumne Meadow Campground?
Hi, I am new to the forum and I ended up here googling the latest information on Tuolumne mosquito conditions. Any updates on near or at Tuolumne Meadows campground? We're going to stay there for few nights and I am trying to prepare our body/mind ahead of time. I will go ahead and call the rangers office when the dates get closer but I thought I will check here first. TIA.

Ediza Lake 7/9 to 7/11
Ediza Lake- 4 to 5. There were a lot of mosquitoes, especially in the meadow section.
Bathed skin in Picaridin and wore a head neat with treated clothes. Helped a lot but still got bites. Had to hole up in the tent when it got bad.
