Looking to cross Dancing Bear Pass this weekend - from Lake Italy Pass into Bear Lakes. First time Route. Any idea if enough snow remains to need (or want) to take micro spikes? Any other suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Dancing Bear Pass
There was no snow at the end of July. But there was thunder, lighting, rain and hail

Re: Dancing Bear Pass
I was there last week and there was still no snow Definitely no need for micro spikes.
I found it a bit tedious getting across from Italy Pass, but pretty straight forward and nothing too challenging.
When White Bear Lake comes into view it looks like a steep drop down to the lake, but the descent was also pretty straight forward.
