Is there a way to post video from a source other than Youtube?
I have videos on webshots.

Re: posting video
It appears so, but is a bit complex. To do so, click on the Flash button above when you are in posting mode, which will output
When you view your video there should be a "link to this video on the page somewhere...in the "embed in your blog, website, or MySpace" text box, find the with and height...these should follow the "=" after the flash, like this
where 425 is width and 350 is height (no spaces)
Then copy and paste everything between quotes after src and place between the flash
Hopefully this should do it. Like I said a bit complex. Vidoes can sometimes make pages load a bit slow so alternatively you could post the link to the page that displays the video
Code: Select all
[flash=][/flash]
Code: Select all
[flash=425,350][/flash]
Then copy and paste everything between quotes after src and place between the flash
Code: Select all
[flash=425, 350]thegoodstuffhere[/flash]

Re: posting video
Flash isn't turned off. The link has to be directed at a specific flash file in order for the flash BBCode to work.
There is a "youtube" BBCode button where you have to insert the identifier from the youtube url (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/v/{IDENTIFER}). There's a chance I can make the same code work for other sites, but you'll need to give me a link so I can play with it.
