shutterfly is uncooperative
Hi y'all,
I've been trying to link a TR (Backpacking) to photos on Shutterfly and each time I paste the web browser address, it reverts to the sign in page. Ergo, no photos. Is there a facile way to circumvent this problem?

Hey cg, I don't use Shutterfly, but I'll take a guess. Maybe the problem with copying and pasting the link is that you are logged in to the site and so it's a protected link for your account only. Do you have the option to "share" the album or photos (as in a link or button on the Shutterfly page)? Are there settings that allow you to determine which photos are available for public viewing?

Eric & Carne,
Thanks for the heads up; I'll try the collection path in shutterfly and see whether that does the trick!

Re: shutterfly is uncooperative
I may need to do a fresh posting to get a response to this, but here's the problem:
I've tried pushing most of the buttons on Shutterfly, and it's not clear that any of them allow one to transfer a photo to HST in the fashion I occasionally did with Flickr. In other words, there is no obvious source of the code to do this. Once again, it's probably my lame computer abilities, or perhaps, Shutterfly just does not support such efforts. Any ideas?
Thanks,
cg

Hi CG,
Had recommended before that you try Photobucket, it is very easy, and free.
Will be happy to run you through it again if you do not have my previous e-mail.
Please continue sending my your photo's and route descriptions in the mean time
will be happy to post them!
Cheers

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: shutterfly is uncooperative
mav,
No doubt, photobucket is the solution, but until I get that activated, I'll take you up on the offer. I'll try to get another couple rounds to you soon.
Thanks,
cg
