I was at this concert. Well, this tour. In the original, there is a dissonance at the end of Eric's solo created by distortion that has a final resolving quality. You can look at the original soundtrack on your own and see if you hear it.

Geln Campbell - a true icon.
When I was a kid, Where Eagles Dare premiered on the big screen. Me and a good pal sat and watched the thing twice and numerous times thereafter. Always thought the soundtrack was great.
